Huge success and improvement in the country’s wise transformation initiatives
The UAE prominently featured main advancements in its e-services and ranked saturated in the latest UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs’ (DESA) E-Government Development Index (EDGI) Survey 2016, according to UN DESA’s Vincenzo Aquaro, Chief E-Government Branch, Division for Public Administration and Development Management.

The statement reflects the large success and progress in the country’s smart transformation initiatives.

The country has ranked 1st among Arab countries, and also regionally, and 8th globally, in smart electronic services index, which is section of the EDGI study announced by UN DESA in July.

Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, TRA Director-General, said, “We have been regularly working hard to achieve the best for our country and citizens. The inclusion of the UAE among the leaders in this field is an excellent honour as we participate in a country that will not accept significantly less than the topmost position, and we tirelessly make an effort to accomplish leadership and excellence, following the smart directives of our leaders that’s embodied in UAE Vision 2021 and its own national agenda.”

“The TRA has been spending so much time to accomplish its visions where UAE is a world innovator in ICT Sector and rise to the ranks of developed nations in this sector. The TRA is usually attempting to reach its goals and value all of the concerted efforts to realize global leadership,” he added.

The UAE ranked 29th in the entire index for the advancement of e-government services issued by the UN lately and 8th in the e-services index, which positioned the country nearer to its biggest goal to become the first worldwide in e-Smart Services predicated on national agenda indicators.
